Great wrap for Meem Heavens Mentors Fest
Chalakkal: The Meem Mentors Fest wrapped up its final regional event last Saturday, marking a successful journey across three zones. With over 600 passionate mentors from 84+ heavens preschools participating statewide, the Fest highlighted high-caliber performances in Quran recitation, memorization, and group singing, stunning organizers with the depth of skill and commitment on display. This outstanding talent will be recognized with awards for overall excellence at the upcoming Mentors Conference—a landmark event for heavens mentors across the world, scheduled for later this academic year.

Vanguard 3.0: Two day management empowerment programme
Aluva: The Vanguard 3.0 Management Meet by the Higher Education Board, held at Shantigiri Ashram in Aluva, brought together Islamia college management from across the state. This transformative two-day event focused on advancing Islamia colleges by enhancing leadership, strategic planning, financial sustainability, institutional efficiency, and technology integration. Sessions also covered stakeholder engagement, HR management, and the formation of a management council to drive progress. Vanguard 3.0 set a collaborative path for sustainable growth and innovation in Islamic education. Resource persons were IECI Chairman Mr. MK Muhammedali, CEO Dr. Muhamed Bedeeuzzaman, Dr. Kunjumuhammed Pulavath, Dr. Kamaludheen KT, Dr. Mahmood Shihab, Dr. Najeeb Muhammed and Jb. Abdul Hakeem Nadwi.

IECI - VCE Athletic Meet concluded successfully
The IECI - Vidya Council for Education held a successful two-day State Athletic Meet at the University of Calicut, where 1,300 athletes from 43 schools across Kerala competed in 77 events. V.P. Zakir Hussain, Director of Physical Education Department in University of Calicut, inaugurated the event and Vidya Council Director Mr. Thalha Hussain presided. Ansar English School Perumpilavu emerged as champions with 164 points, followed by Ideal Higher Secondary School Dharmagiri with 109 points and Wadi Rahma English School Kodiyathur in third with 80 points. The closing ceremony, led by IECI CEO Dr. Muhamed Bedeeuzzaman, honoured the outstanding athletes. Our heartfelt gratitude goes out to Team Malabar Central School Valiyaparamba, whose dedication was instrumental in ensuring the smooth and seamless execution of the event.

Lingua Franca Fest: A Showcase of English Excellence
Orumanayur: The Lingua Franca English Fest organized by IECI-VCE at National Huda English School Orumanayur was a resounding success. Inaugurated by Mr. Akhil V Menon IAS, Sub Collector of Thrissur, the fest saw enthusiastic participation from students in a range of competitions. The debate and olympiad were the highlights, with intense arguments and a high level of competition. Participants were eager to win prizes, which were distributed by the host school's officials. The event provided a platform for students to showcase their talents in a competitive and vibrant environment.

Grand begin for Meem Heavens Mentors Fest
Poopalam: The Meem Heavens Mentors Fest, organized by IECI - HPS for Heavens Preschools' teachers in Malappuram and Palakkad districts, successfully concluded its first phase at Poopalam Darul Falah English School. Inaugurated by Dr. Kootil Muhammad Ali, and presided over by CH. Aneesudheen, the event witnessed inspiring competitions in islamic song, arabic song, Quran quiz, Quran recitation, memorisation and teacher aid making. This is just the beginning, as two more zones are set to host their respective fests over the coming weekends.

Illumine Quiz Finalists competed for Ultimate Umrah Prize in a Thrilling Contest
Calicut: The illumine24 Grand Finale witnessed over 100+ brilliant students across the state competing in a tight and fiercely contested quiz. The atmosphere was charged with excitement as students showcased their extensive knowledge of the Seerah, leaving the quiz masters and organizers astonished by their speed, precision, and depth of understanding. The competition truly highlighted the incredible potential of each participant, making it an unforgettable event. IECI Chairman Mr. MK Muhammedali inaugurated the programme. The First Prize, an Umrah Trip to Mecca, was awarded to Hana VA and Farisha AA from Islamiya College Chalakkal, marking a life-changing moment. Ahmed Abdul Basith and Muhammad Safwan from Aliya International Academy won the second prize. The third Prize was awarded to Shahana KP and Amna M from Al Falah Women's College Peringadi. Dr. Nahas Mala and Mr. Suhair Ali were the quizmasters. Our CEO Dr. Muhamed Bedeeuzzaman presided over the event.

VCE honoured LSS and USS winners of 2023
Mahe: IECI - VCE (Vidya Council for Education) honoured the LSS and USS winners of the year 2023 at a ceremony held at Al Falah English School, Peringadi. Cholki Sub District AEO Ms. Geetha AK inaugurated the event. Students and parents from State Board schools across Kerala participated in this auspicious event. Motivational speeches were given by psychologists Mr. Saleem Mahe and Ms. Nadeena Abid. VCE Director Mr. Thalha Hussain, Al Falah English School Principal Mr. MH Rafeeq Nadwi and school management committee members were present.

A token of appreciation for NABET accredited schools
Calicut: IECI - VCE conducted the felicitation ceremony for the NABET-accredited schools under the Vidya Council stream successfully. Wadi Rahma English School Kodiyathur and Ansar English School Perumpilavu got the honour of being the 4th and 5th schools in the state which got the NABET accreditation. IECI has decided that all its associated schools should get accreditation within a stipulated time. As a precursor to it we had developed an indigenous school assessment tool called ViSAF (Vidya School Assessment Framework) and all our associated schools have been passing through the assessments under this framework. A laborious action meticulously planned and executed reaping its fruits now through NABET accreditation of two schools. Presence of Dr. Saji Gopinath (Vice Chancellor of Digital University Kerala and Acting VC of APJKTU) as chief guest and Ms. Saniya Abdul Latheef (Senior General Manager BSNL) added colours to the programme held at Calicut Tower Hotel. T K Farook (General Secretary JIH Kerala) delivered the Keynote address. Representing various management's Dr. Ali Faizal ( Farook College and Calicut Girls School), Prof. Imbichikkoya (SAFI Group), Dr. P C Anver (JDT) were also present. Representing the schools Mr. KCC Husain (Wadi Rahma) and Dr. Najeeb Muhammad (Ansar English School) delivered the acceptance speech.

Kondotty: The much-anticipated inter-school chess competition took place at Markazul Uloom English School, Kondotty, bringing together talented young minds from across the region. The competition, divided into three categories—under 19, under 17, and under 14—saw fierce participation from both boys and girls. Tough competition at Inspiro State Level
Ramanattukara: A fantastic closing for the Inspiro Quran Fest at Nest Public School, Ramanattukara. Mr VM Ibraheem, Editor of Madhyamam Daily inaugurated the state-level competition. 150 students selected from the cluster-level competitions participated here today. Our CEO Dr. Muhamed Bedeeuzzaman, VCE Director Mr Thalha Hussain, and IECI Administrator Mr Jabir Muhammed were present on the occassion.

Perinthalmannna: Public speaking and creative writing workshop for students held today at Darul Falah School, Perinthalmanna, Malappuram. Vidya Council for Education (VCE) Director Mr. Thalha Hussain inaugurated the programme. Writer and Documentary Filmmaker Mr. M Noushad lead the creative writing workshop. Communication Expert and ELT Coach Mr. Abdurahman Vailankara, Speaking Coach Mr. Noufal MK, ELT Expert with TPR Mr. TPN Abdul Gafoor, and English Trainer Mrs. Sherimol were the resource persons for the public speaking workshop.

Savant '24 Teachers Training Programme was held today at Hira Complex Aluva for the South Zone. The programme was inaugurated by Dr Shaji, Principal MES College Kunnukara. Academic Council Chairman Dr Kunjumuhammed Pulavath, Asst. Director of HEB Adv. Mubashir Morangatt, Section Head Dr Fawas Maranchery, and Board Member Mr Muneer Varantharapally were present on the dais. IECI successfully honoured the Toppers of Kerala Madrasa Education Board (KMEB) Public Exam 2023-24. The programme was an enthralling experience for achievers and parents with inspirational words from the fellow guests of the ceremony. Our Chairman Mr MK Muhammedali inaugurated the ceremony. Chief Guest Dr Abdussalam Ahmed, Rector Al Jamia Al Islamiya Santhapuram, gave a keynote speech on the way forward for the students. IECI CEO Dr Muhamed Bedeeuzzaman, Solidary Youth Movement Gen. Inspiro Quran Fest 2024 Southern region
Erattupetta: The Quran holds immense importance in the life of every Muslim, guiding us with wisdom, knowledge, and spiritual growth. To celebrate and deepen our connection with the Quran, we are excited to announce the start of the Inspiro Quran Fest Cluster Level competitions, which began today at Al Manar Senior Secondary School Erattupetta, in which schools from the Southern region participated. This fest aims to encourage the upliftment of the Quran in students' lives through various engaging activities. Competition Items are, recitation, memorization, quiz and calligraphy. Categories include; Sub Junior (Classes 3 & 4), Junior (Classes 5, 6, & 7), Senior (Classes 8, 9, & 10). State Level competition will be held at 17th August 2024 in Al Falah English School, Peringadi, Kannur.

Colloquium on Madrasa Education
Day 1 of Colloquium on Madrasa Education: Prospects and Challenges organised by IECI in association with Kerala Madrasa Education Board(KMEB). Our honourable Chairman Mr MK Muhammedali inaugurated the session. "Actually what is most important for IECI is the philosophy of a curriculum. Because we are the ones who provide the worldview. Curriculum is not a final word, it is ever-evolving. That will keep changing. In those changes, we will continue to maintain some fundamentals that will not change". Dr Muhamed Bedeeuzzaman, CEO of IECI concluded the Two-day Colloquium on Madrasa Education. "The teacher-student relationship is not limited to imparting knowledge or school reading. Because our Madrasahs have the importance of learning from the face of the Guru. In a historical quote; He realised the virtue of literature from a young age, and he used to say: “My mother used to teach me and say: Go to Rabi’ah (who is Rabi’ah al-Ra’i, the sheikh of Imam Malik), and learn from his manners before he knew him.” Ibrahim bin Habib bin Al-Shahid said: My father said to me: “My son, go to the jurists and scholars, learn from them, and learn from their etiquette, morals, and guidance, for that is more beloved to you than many hadiths. Mr Azhar Pulliyil summed up the session with the total summarisation of the Colloquium and a way forward for the effective management of the Madrasa system .

Heavens Mentors' Training
"Teaching is significant. Therefore, it is our responsibility to ensure that the children who are taken from us become well-mannered children. There are other jobs that give more happiness than this. All it takes is a little heart. But you must give with all your heart for the teaching profession. Qur'an is the knowledge of the heart. The speciality of the knowledge we teach is that it should go to the heart, not to the brain". Mr Shihab Pookkottur, State General Secretary of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Kerala inaugurated the first spell of Heavens Mentors' Training happening now at Aluva Azhar Al Uloom. All participants who came across from 14 states were welcomed by Asst. Director of Heavens, Mr Sabith Bannan. Mr. Aneesudheen CH, Director of KMEB and Heavens Preschools started with a keynote speech addressing how this training programme will break down the misconceptions, negatives and lifestyles that we have held for a long time and become new people. Also our section officers Mr Samad and Mr Yoonus along with other Heavens Mentors' is coordinating this five-day programme.

Curriculum Conceptualization Workshop
"In universities worldwide, there has been a movement away from mono-disciplinary towards multi-, inter- and transdisciplinary education. The reason is that it's not possible to hold Gen Z in a specific discipline because they are different in taste. How far can we open the doors to our students for these changes within our Colleges?"_ -Dr. Kunjumuhammed Pulavath Chairman, Academic Council and also the moderator of the *Two-Day Curriculum Conceptualization Workshop* . Day 1 started with a welcome address from the Asst. Director of Higher Education Board(HEB), Adv.
